Just wanted to let everyone know what a great day we had yesterday with our June Gulf Coast SpyderRyders - Ryde to the Movies. I met Capt John yesterday morning and after checking out each others rydes we went by the movie theater and pre-purchased our tickets for a 3:45PM showing of the Transformers 2 - Revenge of the Fallen.
We rode from there to our designated starting point along Pensacola Bay. We met sabunim5 and were soon on the way fora 140 mile ryde along the gulfof Mexico and Mobile Bay. Although it was hot 95-96 degrees while we rode along the water there was a cooling breeze -- the weather was so perfect no one minded the heat.
We knew our time would be close for making the movie so when we reached Daphne, AL about 45 miles from the movie theater it was about 3:00PM. Well we opened up our :spyder2: and made the trip in about 35 minutes. A great ryde and all :spyder2: performed marvelously.
We watched the movie which was a pretty good sequel and as the others have stated we would have like to have seen more of the :spyder2: in the final cut. But this was a major film debut for the :spyder2: and I have no doubt that the :spyder2: will be used in other productions in the future.
We had a great dinner at a Thai Restuarant called Jasmine Fusion before departing company and heading for home. The Company and conversation was great and future plans for other rydes were initiated.
Thanks to Capt John and sabunim5 for making the Ryde to the Movies a really great experience.
