• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ryde Saturday went very well -

Had a great day for :spyder2: Ryding. Day started out with sunshine and temps in the 70's.

I met sabunim5 and his wife at the designated starting point and we left for the meeting place in Daphne, AL arriving at 10:00 AM as planned.

There we met the rest of our ryders - CAPTJOHN, pllayman and his fiance, James (not a spyderlover member) and ZOSO. Kudos to ZOSO for ryding above and beyond the call as he met us at the Daphne meeting spot - he came all the way from Metarie, LA.

We admired everyones ryde; comparing mods and trying the set-ups of the different :spyder2:s. Had just about every seat that is available, 1" risers; !" and 3"NMN risers; 4" NMN risers - throttlemeister and throttlelocks - different windshields - it was great to compare and tobe able to check out other peoples rydes. ZOSO has had a lot of Chrome work done and his Full Moon spyders looks rally sharp.

We departed Daphne, AL and headed west on I-10 to Mississippi. The weather was great and we got lots of looks with 5 spyders running down the highway. We arrived at the Hard Rock Casino and made a bee line for the Buffet - great food, great conversation and some great friendships started and old friendships strengthened. Man it amazes me the fantastic comradery that is shared by this SpydrLovers group.

After lunch we departed and ZOSO returned to the New Orleans, LA area and the rest of us took off to the east following Highway 90 this time. The ryde went well and everyone seemed to have a great time.

Sabunim5, Jan and I ran into a little rain as we left Alabama into Florida. but nothing to dampen the great time we all had.

Will soon be planning another ryde because of vacations and people attending the rally in Gatlinburg the next ryde will be in October. Date and destination to be anounced, If anyone has any suggestions please forward them to me.

Again thanks to all who participated it was fantastic as always

I hope someone can post a pic or 2 as my camera was on the blink - but I think some of the other ryders may a snapped a few.
