• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT Shocks on an RSS

Is there anyone out there that has any advice for putting RT shocks on an RSS? It doesn't look too difficult, but any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks everyone

Depends..!

the RSS came with a better suspension than the RS (commonly seen switching to the RT shocks). Check lengths but to change them is straight forward. The newer RSS's cam with the Fox shocks and better sway bar. The BajRon sway bar is much better still and if you don't have it I would start there...

Thanks...I already have Bajarons Anti Sway Bar and Links. How about stings on the new shocks. I have my existing stock set on the 3rd detent, but was thinking about stiffening them up. Any suggestions for the settings on the RT shocks a 170 lb rider that likes to ride a little aggressive?

I put 2011 RT shocks with 5,000 miles on them on my 20011 RS-S SE5 with a BajaRon anti-sway bar. It gave me great handling in turns and highway stability. The BajaRon anti-sway bar did the most (85%) and the RT shocks complete the package. The BajaRon anti-sway bar was $179.00 and the shocks were $100.00. I did the anti-sway bar and about 4 months later the shocks. That's IMHO

the down side

the part that nobody ever mentions is rt shocks ride rough as hell on a gs or rs. set your stockers on five and see if that works.

Since I've already got them changed, and see how easy it is, I'm going to give it a try. If I can't come up with a setting that I like, I'll either go back to stock or maybe try the Fox shocks. I'm not spending $500-$600 minimum for Elka's.
