• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

This question has probably more threads than anything else. Suggest you do a search "rear tire" and similar terms in the search box upper right corner. Then, come back here and ask a more specific question that you didn't get answered.

:congrats:& :welcome: .....there are three really, really good REAR tires the least expensive is the General Altimax RT43 in 215/60-15 ....the other two are Michelins .............Mike

I just intstalled a Michelin Defender T+H 205/60/15 just today. The tire shop looked at my wheel with question marks in his eyes but when he put it on the machine he said no problem. He didnt balance it and I wasn’t too concerned. I went out for a 40 mile test drive and had no vibration issues and it handled wonderfully.

Welcome to Spyderlovers. I have been running the General Altimax RT43 and I really like them. 215 60 R15 available on Amazon $75. Handles great in wet and dry conditions

How many more miles on this tire?

We have a little ride tomorrow of about 150 miles and then time to try the General. DSCN2483.jpgDSCN2484.jpgDSCN2486.jpg

Hundreds of miles as long as there's no rain, or sand or slick surfaces....
I still rode comfortably with this

If I had this tire, I’d put another 3-5,000 miles on it. I change them our when I see bare cord showing in the center, but even then, there is always much outside thread left. But I ride Solo.

The reason you have tread left on the outside is because you are only riding on the center. :banghead:
