RT Passenger Arm Rest's

Moma wants some, I had installed the Rivco arm rest's for her on our last Goldwing. Quality and function was great............No such animal for the Rt yet but somewhere out there I bet that there is an RT owner that has made their own....

I plan on doing some work on this, anyone have any experience that they can share? Like good mounting point...etc

The Corbin's don't excite her...........gonna have to go it on my own.....

I too wanted to design and build some armrests for Mary, but I have been so busy with building racks I haven't been able to get to that project yet. She didn't like the Corbins---or the price for that matter.

No plans to make or sell them. They were fabricated using a vice and hammer and propane torch and a lot of trial and error. Had to buy the inexpensive welder from harbor freight and learn to use it. It was a fun project.

Really nice job. Too bad it's a one-off, although the pictures look detailed enough to help someone else copy them.

I see a couple of bolts on the finished armrests that weren't apparent on the fabrication pictures.
Did you come up with a way to swing the armrests out of the way to make it easier for the passenger to get on and off ??

These are rigid mounted. I am working on a way for the left side to either swing out or tip up. Slow process.

Thanks Spydeebite2, this helps a bunch. Good job, they look very nice. The Rivco's on our goldwing mounted behind the backrest too. Makes the install look very clean. This will probobly be my approach too.
