• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT muffler on F3S

Has any one put an RT muffler on an F3S. My wife has some hearing loss in her right ear and would like to quite it down a bit. Current exhaust is Lamont's pipe with BCT baffle and stock muffler. Do not want to put the pre muffler back on the bike.

Little checking..

If any do it would be 2014 and up. You can check part number on cheapcycleparts.com and see if they match up....

*update....the 2015 RT does have the same muffler some numbers vary for black/chrome.

In Australia brp take off the short muffler and put on an rt muffler before we can buy them. So we miss out on the 'signature exhaust' sound which was one of the marketing points for the f3s.

However my husband really wanted the short muffler so we sourced and added one. With the bypass pipe it is too loud for my ears.

With the rt muffler the f3s is very quiet. Mine suits me.

ps it uses a different bracket...

THE F3-T and others with the OEM BAGS come with the larger muffler... reason being, that the shorter muffler would release the hot gasses (exhaust) under the right bag and cause the bottom to heat and warp or even burn up.... i would say 'yes' you could install the larger/longer muffler without any issues.... talk to the service manager at your SPYD3R dealer....

I found a new take off on eBay and was sent a picture on how to extend the existing mount for the RT muffler. Will post pictures when done.
