I've seen a few remarks about the custom Can Am luggage included with the RT Limited. We just returned from our first overnight trip together, a 3 nighter with the wife, and we found the luggage to be a nice feature. Especially the Frunk bag with rollers and extending handle. Made for an easy in/out of hotels, and a classy way to pack. Well built luggage. Granted, we have the RT-622, as we planned to take some long trips, but we packed our cloths and toiletries in the Can Am bags, stored on the bike, and used the trailer for the cooler, a few items purchased along the way, and a little overflow from our friends on a Gold Wing. The trailer is amazing. No way we could use all of its capacity. The Spyder has lots of good storage, and the fitted bags were able to carry more than we needed for a few days out.
We had a nice trip of about 750 miles, even in 100 degree weather.
The bad part is, I'm still not certain whether the Spyder is right for us. The verdict is still out. I really want to love this unique, easy to ride, loaded up, deluxe full featured Roadster thing, that even Harley riders love to check out, but I'm not completely feeling the love after 2000 miles. I've ridden 2 wheelers about 100K miles and thought the Spyder was the way to go. I've spent a fortune on this RT Ltd, trailer, Elkas, communication set up, and accessories to make this the ultimate machine for us.........and she won't come right out and say it yet, but I don't think she enjoys it as much as the GL1800. And to be truthful, I'm not convinced either.....yet.
