• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. RT Horn Replacement Question

RT-S PE#0031
I have a 2010 RTS and am installing a Stabel Nautilus horn in the void just below the left headlight. I'll leave the current horn in place. I'll run a 30A power line straight from the battery to a relay that also needs to be hooked to the horn button circuit to activate the relay. Where can I tap that circuit without going through the trouble of removing the frunk? I have already pulled the connectors off the current horn and they are dead. I can only conclude I must have pulled something loose, making those wires useless. I did replace the OEM horn last spring, and removed the frunk in the process. My brother was around to assist, but have no assistance now, so really don't want to go there again. I did install a relay at that time and can still hear the relay clicking when I press the horn button, but no joy at the connectors. I just need to know where I can find and identify the correct wire from the button to tie it into the new horn relay.

Thanks.

If the horn was working before the disconnect, then try switching the wires from the relay.

Unfortunately, short of removing the frunk, I cannot access the relay. That is why I'm looking for another source for the horn button circuit.

Problem Resolved

I'm please to report the problem is resolved and I now have the new horn in place and working.

The bad news is that I went through a lot of unnecessary trouble yesterday, not to mention all the mental stress. Seems I was not properly metering the connectors I removed from the old horn. They were good all along.

My bad...
