• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT (and Maybe Others) Brake Pedals

RefinedCycle.com pedal for the RT

Ok, so here it is installed on my RT Limited

Install = very simple

Looks = 50/50

if you are used to the standard pedal, there is no difference on the standard space except it is not rubber, it is diamond plate ???

The extended part does not leave you much room for stopping from the floorboards, all you can use is your toes.

it is shaped in such a way as it will not touch or interfere with the factory floorboards.

Not comfortable using it from the NBV highway pegs with my heel.

I think this was a good idea but not contoured right.

SO, I tried a different approach with the same piece, see photo below.

I used a 3/4 inch aluminum spacer between the factory brake and the new pedal. (on the high side)

it will not touch the Factory floorboards (they will give long before it reaches the floorboard).

i put a strip of reflective rough stair step material on it.

No change except a little higher than original pedal when using from Factory floorboards.

I now can use my heel for braking when on the NBV Highway Pegs (which i use about 95% of the time).

When i get some time i will try it out and report back.

Any Thoughts?? (OH NO, I JUST OPENED A CAN OF WORMS)

When there is a need mother nature/someone will supply the solution. Seems a smart solution to your issue.

simple to install ..... okay

looks, 50/50..... ? I wouldn't get too excited about THAT aspect, maybe 10up and 90down?

in the eye of the beholder and all that. No exciting woman ever asked to check out my brake pedal, so....

Nicely done...

Looks like it will give you better control. Is it high enough to not bottom out on the floor boards..? No diamond plate for you...:roflblack:

Yes, once i put that 3/4" aluminum spacer under the pedal it brought it up to 3 inch clearance
