• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RT 622 trailer protective film yellowing

Does anyone know of a product or procedure to correct the yellowing of the plastic protective film on the front of the 622 trailer? Thanks for any help.....

that plastic that is yellowing is caused by UVA rays. I am guessing that who ever put it on used a cheap product because I have that same product from 3M on two different cars and they have never yellowed. I've had them on there for years and they both get a lot of exposure to the sun.

to my knowledge there is no product that would make that yellowing go away. if you do replace it then I would use the product from 3M.

Replace the Mylar

If you decide to strip it off and replace it think about using ordinary bed liner and spay it on.

We decided not to use the expensive mylar when we repainted our trailers to match our new Spyders. We just masked off the mylar area and sprayed it with bed liner. Makes a much better stone guard and is easier to maintain.View attachment 94813View attachment 94814

That looks excellent and is exactly what I have been contemplating doing. Would you share a couple things?

Was this simply taped-off?
What specific tape was used to tape-off?
What specific brand of bed-liner product did you use?
How much of the product was needed to do this?

I appreciate anything you can share on this!

Used ordinary 3 M masking tape. Can't recall the brand. It came from either AutoZone or O'Reillys in a quart can.
