• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rough Riding

I have a Kewlmetal Air box...Hindle exhaust...and a Juice Box. Hindle went on about 2500 miles ago. VERY rough running when accelerating at around 3500 to 4000 rpms..or around 50-60 then it smooths out. Hesitates in that range....kind of sputters....answers?

What was the last thing you added, the Hindle, JB? Make sure that you have settings 5 and 6 on the JB different and about 2 settings apart otherwise some of us are getting what you describe [stumbling or cutting out at full throttle in that rpm range].

Hmmmm

The Hindle was the last thing changed. I tried to enrich the mixture on the JB but I couldn't get any changes to stick. I tried to enriching...(yellow?)but the instructions I have and what the JB was actually doing are two different things. Is it running too lean? I didn't install the JB or Hindle and purchased bike used. However, I know for a fact that the Hindle was put on right before I took the bike.

To set the JB, while idling push the mode button quickly to adjust the 5 settings[#1 is fixed]. If your not quick it will go back to the beginning. I have the following settings with mine: #2=3,#3=4,#4=4,#5=1.5,#6=3.5. Since you bought it used I recommend calling a dealer and see if they would look up to see if your Spyder[vin#] has had all recalls done. If it was me I would remove the JB if you can't get it to work or if it does then set it to zero's and take it to a dealer for a performance check.

Interestingly, I reset the JB to stock...then pulled the negative wire off the battery terminal for an hour....hooked up the tupperware and now it rides better than it ever has. Go figure.
