• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Nice weather here in Charlotte. Took off about 3pm hoping to run a couple of hours while it was light out. Stopped by the local bike and Spyder dealer and pulled in next to their RT Demo. They have two demos! Spent quite a bit of time talking to a father and son about my Spyder and the RT as he's been for a test ride and was a bit weirded out by the sensation. He rides a ST1300.

I also was there to pick up crush rings and O rings for an oil change. What the hell is with these dealers not stocking parts? My dealer up by the lake didn't have any. This dealer only had the crush rings. These should be a somewhat common thing to keep around eh?

Anyway... By time I was done BS'ing at the local dealer and hit the road I only had about an hour to ride. Headed down 74 to Monroe to pick up 601. Hung a left onto 218 back up into Mint Hill. Pretty casual ride. 218 doesn't get too twisty on that section, but has several nice sweepers. I was just wanting to charge up the battery and play with the steering a bit to make sure it wouldn't act up. Everything was fine.

That guy's ST 1300.. Had a Givi V46 top case like mine. His son totally retrofitted the entire back reflector assembly with LEDs. Looks awesome. I wish I had the camera with me. he said he bought them all from a guy that calls himself joeflorida on ebay.

Glad you got a good ride in. My wife and I rode our Spyders to Augusta, GA, yesterday and had a great time. Saw a lot of 2 wheelers but no other Spyders, even though I know there are some there somewhere.

As for the oil change parts, look for posts by krb1945, and then look in his signature. I just ordered the entire SE5 kit for under $29 shipped and could not be happier with what we received. I don't know about your dealers, but that is way less than mine want for those parts.

Loads of bikes out today and I saw 2 :spyder2:s as it was Probably the Last High 60,s day here in CT. Going out Tomorrow too then its time to put on the Spyder City 3" riser. Leaning forward stock puts alot of pressure on the hands but I went 3 hours and my behind was fine!
Next will be the BRP handlebar vibration insert.
