• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Road Trip

Labor Day weekend the wife and I are doing our first road trip since getting the Spyder in April. We've done 2 weekend trips to visit family, but they were not really a "road trip".

For Labor Day, we are leaving Northern VA Thursday evening and heading south. We plan to overnight around Lynchburg VA. Then on Friday we are making our only "planned" stop at an RV dealership outside of Danville. We have no schedule or destination plans after that. From there we are going to head east toward VA Beach. Hope to meet up with a few friends for lunch or dinner while hanging in the area. We may head north across the 21 mile Chesapeake Bridge Tunnel to Chincoteague and then back south across the bridge again so we can go towards Williamsburg or Yorktown.

We plan on stopping when we get hungry, tired or find something worth stopping to look at. We don’t plan on getting back home until the following Tuesday. This should be interesting as we will need to carry all of our belongings within the confines of the Spyder’s luggage compartments. Five days living on the road!

Since you all are headed to the Norfolk Area you should swing down to Kill Devil Hills in NC. Take a look at the Wright Brothers Memorial.

Sounds like a great trip plan. It's great when you can stop and do anything that you feel like doing without have the constraints of the clock or a large schedule.

Sounds like fun! Once the hubbub of the DNC settles down, and the wife is back to normal hours, I'm hoping we can do something like that. We want to just pack a bag, head out, and stop where we want to.

Sounds fun!! We are doing our first real road trip too! We are leaving Friday afternoon for Florida! :) so excited. It's about an 8 hour trip. We are going to Birmingham to spend the night then make the rest of the trip the next morning... rain or shine it's going to be great adventure and I cannot wait!! :)
