• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just got back from a 2244 mi ride.
The ride took us through the Canadian Rockies (Jasper & Banff), Radiun Hot Springs, B.C., across the border down to Sandpoint ID, a nice day trip around Lake Coeur d'Alene, a couple day in Bigfork MT (Flathead Lake), a beautiful ride on the Going-To-The-Sun Road on our way back up into Canada for a couple days in Waterton Lake National Park, a night in Banff and then finally home.
The weather couldn't have been better, 8 days and less than 30 min of rain! Averaged between 90 & 100, the hottest spot was around Lake Coeur d'Alene, 109!!! :yikes:
The Spyder performed flawlessly! I put the machine through the paces and didn't burn 1 drop of oil on the trip! I might add I have over 5500 mi on my bike and have not had to add any oil!

averaged 37.9 mpg, best tank 41 mpg.
rode 2 up, guessing around 450lbs riders & luggage and most of the riding in the mountains...

Here's a couple pics from our ride...

Thanks for pics .... wish we were rydin' with ya

Thanks for the pics and recap. Great to hear about how well your 2014 RT ran. We enjoy ours greatly and have had ZERO problems with it. We have about 7,700 miles on it with our latest trip to Duluth, MN and north shore area. We also enjoy ZERO oil usage and remains on the full mark every time I check it (after every long trip).

Glad you had a great trip! :D:D:D:D

Great pic's, thanks for the RT summary, I currently have 16,000 +on my 2014 RT-S and no problems (except poor rear tire and parking brake actuator motor failure) Never failed to take me anywhere i wanted to go

I have to agree Cruzr Joe, 5500 miles and my tire is done!
Will be checking the posts for ideas on what has been working better for fellow riders that have made the switch and hopefully they'll be available up here.

Yup, only issue with my 2014 RT is like all of us -- rear tire. I am going to have about 8,000 miles on the OEM Kenda rear tire when I go into the dealer a little over a week from now to have it replaced with the Kumho Ecsta AST 225/50R15 (purchased at Discount Tire for around $85). Back tire is looking like a "slick" in the middle.....ugh.
