• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just ordered two 16 oz. Ride-On tire sealant. Talked to George Burns, really a nice person to deal with. He had some nice things to say about Lamont. Thanks for steering me right, Lamont. The Slime is sitting on the shelf for my tractor, etc. Thanks again !!

Just got 3 bottles in the mail yesterday will put them in before i ride again. It's cheaper then a flat to b fixed per tier.

What's wrong with Slime. Used it in my motorcycle & maxiscooter tires for years with no apparent deleterious results?

Nothing wrong with it, I've used it twice on M/C tires after i plugged them. There is a caution warning on the label about not exceeding of 45 mph when using it, But i never payed any attention to it and never had a problem:dontknow: I do use slime on all my ATV's, And on my Kubota 7600 Tractor.

Slime can be corrrosive to alloy wheels, it can cause the tires to overheat at highway speeds, will only plug a small hole or one where the item that punctured the tire remains in place, can cause balance issues, and interferes with the adhesives used to plug tires for a permanent repair. Tire dealers hate it because it makes a nasty mess when changing tires, and it can be difficult to dispose of. Some charge extra for changing a tire with Slime and some refuse to change them. Do what you want, but I'll reserve it for my lawn tractor tires.

Have to agree..!!

:agree: when working as a line mechanic hated dealing with the stuff and in the end was only a temporary fix and making it a permanent fix was slimy...:gaah:

I talked with George today to double check the amounts to use in the 2013 spyders as I thought I read that the tire size changed this year.
I gave him the tire specs for the 2013 spyders out of the brochure and he calculated the amounts:
front tire 165/55 R15 - use 12 ounces
rear tire 225/50 R15 - use 17 ounces

Also for those who don't know - you order the automotive product not the motorcycle one.
