• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Purchase price: Can't be beat
Customer Service from Ron: Unbelievable..awesome...fast and determined to please
Suit: OK Thurs was my first let's see how this one piece thing works. Now I think I own every layer of clothing that has been invented. By this time I would be putting on a layer of underarmor...then a fleece, plus leathers, possibly raingear and maybe even a little Gerbing (just in case)...oh yea the temp that am at 7 a.m. was 41....so decided nope going to wear jeans, long sleeved t shirt..Buff head/neck gear (just the original not any cold weather weight) and my med weight gloves (in case any of you are wondering...yep yep got full helmet!!!!). I am definitely warm as I get on the road...thinking OK things will cool off at 65 mph...not to be..then I got up on the pass and the temp in the shade dropped significantly (phone said 36 ambient)....still very comfortable body wise...hands a little cold so turned on heaters...face cold...oh ahhhh drop face shield...ahhhh definite improvement.
Got over pass temp is now up to lower 50's...as long as I'm at highway speed comfortable...coming thru towns and dropping down to 35 eeeekkkkk to warm unzip suit...
Love, love love the suit...will be able to eliminate a few layers that I normally travel with in colder seasons.
Is there a downside? OH YEA, but something tells me it is a personal problem. Ladies....DO NOT wait pass the dancing the jig stage to do the bathroom scene.....remember this is a one piecer....plus zips, flaps, velcro added to that "should have worn a depend" going thru the brain cells that are still engaged.....phew just in case you wondered...I made it, no accidents, barely!!!!:roflblack::roflblack:
Oh yea, rain, albeit not a downpour....just like water off a duck's back. Just gotta love this thing/suit
So I highly recommend doing business with Bajaron and recommend his and other spyderlovers recommendation and comments...you convinced me to give it a try and I'm am a BELIEVER. RYDE on...oh yea I'm touring the SanJuans now...headed off island tomorrow headed I know not where...but the passes are still looking good for getting back to the dry side of the state.
Haven't seen another Spyder since I left home...know you are out there just haven't crossed your path.

I bought the Expidition from Ron. It does keep me comfortable, but i did have an issue with the main zipper breakihUng at the end near the crotch. There is a lot of stress put on the area as you pull the shoulders up while inserting your arms in the sleeves. Thee is no provision for strain relief for the zipper, so the teeth pull out. I will contact the company regarding warrantee repairs.

Though this is the first zipper issue I am aware of there is always the possibility of a problem with any product. In all the years I've been selling Firstgear I've never had a customer with a warranty issue so I must say I've had no experience with the process. Searching the web I have found a few that did have a warranty claim and were very pleased with the service they received.

Please let me know how that goes. I have talked to my Firstgear rep and he says it should easily be resolved.

I have been wearing Firstgear for many years now. Have two complete outfits currently in use--pants, jackets, liners.

I did have a problem with the liner zipper on my first outfit--but that was the extent of it.
