• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Reverse on RTS

When shifting my 2016 RTS into reverse, I found that if I do this from 1st gear instead of neutral its a lot smoother without the loud thump. Does anybody else do it this way or is it wrong?:dontknow:

Here's the thing....

No problem doing it that way but no benefit as the clunk happened when you put in first. On the older manual one you had to put in 1st then reverse. The whole clunking is the engine engaging with an idle transmission. Once the you have them both moving then the clunking is gone. It is just that first one....

The first shift of the day will still clunk, regardless of whether it is R or 1.

Same thing after it sits long enough to cool off when out riding too.

Same with going into first from reverse. No clunk.
