• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Returning from the Dark Side!

Greetings, Spyderlovers!

Last year I'd finally had enough of my 2010 and its computer bugs. On October 8th, I traded it in for a Suzuki M109R LE. In the almost seven months that I've owned it, it has performed flawlessly.....I love it!!! Unfortunately, the arthritis in my right hand is getting progressively worse and with the amount of miles I put on the road (via 2 or 3 wheels), I NEED cruise control - - not a want, but a MUST HAVE!!! Otherwise, I'm in considerable pain which is a distraction/safety issue. Well, yesterday, I went up to the dealer where I got the 109 and signed off on a brand new 2012 Spyder RT Limited "Laza Bronze" (root beer) with the tan seat. Now I have to hold my wife back from trading in her blue 2010 RT-AC.....she's jealous!! :roflblack:

Congratulations on the new ryde. :2thumbs:

I know the problem with arthritis and two wheelers. My Vulcan will be taken to the dealer this weekend to be sold because I can no longer operate the clutch and handbrake. Its sad that my two-wheeling days are over--but in retrospect--I had 47 years of two-wheeling and got to own almost 30 flavors.

Welcome Back - Dealers have had 2 years experience now setting up the RTs

And as I'm sure your aware, many of the issues, especially with early 2010 RT models derived from improper Initial Dealer Setup, among other issues. But IMHO, if I were in your position, I'd still ask your dealer to go over the Pre-Delivery Inspection Checklist with you, just to make sure everything is done as it should be done. I would think any reputable dealer wouldn't be offended or have an issue in doing so. Speaking from personal experience of going from a troublsome 2010 RT-S to our 2011 SpyderFest Edition RT-S from Len at Cowtown, which is our Dream Machine.:firstplace: :congrats: & Hope you have nothing but miles of smiles with your new ryde :welcome::yes:
