Resonator Removal

I am in the process of removing the air intake system. I have the air box out and am in the process of removing the resonator box. I did not take the left side of the bike apart as much as the right side. Do I have to tear the left side apart also? Any sugestions are greatly apreciated. Thanks to Doc and Northstar for helping me to this point.

Well I keep the air intake system but removed the resonator.
I did not wish to remove the front truck so I cut the unit in to 5 pieces and removed it. I then glued, tape and wire tie the piece back on to the air intake tube. This was done so I had a round tube and no hot air from the engine.
Now I care tell you the left side is much cooler with the big piece of plastic gone and the sound is great.

I was able to remove both the airbox and the resonator from my 2012 RT without major cutting. I did have to remove all the panels on both sides of the RT plus the Frunk. I removed several bolts to loosen the tube rails on both sides to pull them outward from the frame but did not fully remove the rails.

Then with one person on each side and using a wiggle-push-pull approach was able to finally pull them out, airbox first to the right side then resonator to the left. Its a good idea to take a break and check carefully with a strong light for snags, hidden cable ties, etc if it doesnt come out.
