Repainting from another color to a black type

Hi all,
I guess i should post it here. I wanted to know about painting to another color. I am looking to buy, But most are colors other than black.
is it a good choice to get another color and then paint to a color i like?
does this cost alot? and is this a good move?

I had mine painted without any problems. Price varies greatly, but you'll also have to remember: You get what you pay for. So be aware when you go get bids. A $600 paint job will look like a $600 paint job.

what color was it?
do you get any splash without fenders?

You might consider purchasing the BRP phantom panel kit, instead of painting, if you want black.
