• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Removing trailer hitch on my Spyder RT

I am removing a factor installed trailer hitch. It appears that the axle is approx. 1 inch too long. Does the factory hitch come with a longer axle? If so I think I need to find a shorter axle... Any suggestions??

The BRP trailer hitch has a bolt that goes all the way threw the axle on the Spyder
You do not need to remove the axle to remove the hitch
If you do not put the hitch back on you must install the cotter pin in the original hollow axle [it was removed when the hitch was installed]

If you look at both ends (sides) of the "axle", you'll see that one end is welded, and one has a nut and cotter pin. Take the pin out, take the nut off, and slide the threaded rod out. The hitch should come of easily after that.

After the bolt is out, the hitch might be hard to remove. Hit the ball left and right until you see movement, then tug off. No other fasteners come off.
