• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Removing the guage cluster

Does disconnecting the gauge cluster electrical connector (to remove the gauge cluster for better access to the inside of the cougar skull) cause any problems for the computer ? Does the battery need to be disconnected before the gauge cluster is removed ?

Thanks for the help.

No problems .Just have to reset the clock. Also there is enough slack in the cable you can just lay it to one side with the gauge cluster still attached, although just as easy to unplug gage cluster and reset time when done. You installing HIDs , fog lights or NMN mods ?

For an extra measure of safety, you could disconnect the battery before disconnecting the cluster. However, I have removed both mine and dltang's cluster many times without disconnecting the battery with no adverse effects.

Thanks for all the replies. I figure this will be the easier way to get wiring up to the switch rather then trying to remove any part of the center pod.
