• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Relatively new to Spyder and riding style.

I have read all the posts from experienced riders about how to set up for a corner --- lean to the inside and forward.
I have tried a new style and it works well for me.
Instead of leaning forward I now just brace my body by pushing slightly with the outside leg and foot on the foot rest. It seems to give my body support and does not let the momentum of the curve move my body at all.
Works for me better than leaning in each curve.
Just thought I'd mention it. Probably already tried----if so just forget this post. By the way, I have learned a lot of good information on this forum. Please keep up the good information.
Thank you.

Glad to hear that you've found what works best for you!
Some folks like to lean into the turn in order to minimize the "roll" of the bike to the outside...
This may just help keep "Nanny" a bit quieter.
(But NOT necessary, until you're already pushing beyond what the rear passenger might allow! :yikes:)

Try Both

Lean into the curve, and put the pleasure on the outside foot and squeeze the inside leg into the side of the bike. Lots going on but once huh get the hang of it there is nothing too it.

Thanks for posting. For me the lean depends on the speed and g forces generated by the individual turn. For some I lean more, for some a little less.

comfort..!!

comes diwn to whats comfortable for you. You have found that so do it and enjoy the ryde. I have mine and it works great for me yet not for the nanny...!!:ohyea::ohyea::ohyea:i

For me, sometimes, just leaning isn't enough. I also brace with my leg on the outside of the curve. I've been know to have my butt only half on the seat in some cases.

Takes practice , I've had mine for a year and no suspension mods or adjustments and most of times can ride hot into the corners and not wake nanny up, but gets hard on the legs and knees at least for me.

Good too hear you have a style working for ya:thumbup:
