I just bought my wife a 2010 Spyder RTS SE5.
She went to the local DMV here in Carlsbad, NM to register it and get a license plate and was told by the supervisor there that they needed to see the vin number and engine number, that is stamped on the engine.
According to the dealership in Lubbock Tx, (where we bought it) and the dealership in Las Crucas, New Mexico.(closest dealership in the state). That to access the plate on the engine you need to take off the front wheels and basically disassemble the front end of the bike.
Has anyone else ever ran into something like this at the DMV?
she has all the correct paperwork from the dealer and the VIN number on the right side of the bike by the rear shock is visible and readable.
Thanks
Allan
