• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Reda Gas Can

We are getting ready to head out for Americade on Wed and will be taking all back roads, weather permitting, so I took my two Reda Gas Cans down to fill them up. I filled one 1” from the bottom of the neck and the other ½” from the bottom of the neck. I put them both in the back of my truck and let them sit all day in the heat, 90+. What I found out was that the gas can that I left 1” of air space had built up pressure and had expanded and the other one with ½” of air space did not. There were no leaks of fumes coming from either can. I toped off the one gas can within ½” of the bottom of the neck and I am ready to go. I know that to some this might not seem to be a good idea, but when you travel the back roads sometimes gas is hard to find and this gas can will provide the margin we may need to get down the road or we may be able to assist another rider. It is very important that the cap is tight, both of my gas cans I tighten past the safety tabs.

I also keep one in my Corbin bags and yes you have to really tighten the cap or they will leak (found out the hard way) I have used mine 3 times now to help out others that ran out. I removed both the green safety ring and the outer notch latch on the black cap as I found them to not be needed and the green safety ring made it much harder to use and would let gas leak while filling, also I would suggest that while filling a tank you should use a rag or some soft of a towel around as it sometime leak when you push down to let the gas flow and after you are done and hold it upright a little will leak out as well.
