Received my Corbin seat and backrest (Red) from UPS yesterday. A little less than 2 weeks from date ordered. I started install a little after 6PM and finished at 7:20 PM with a 20 min phone call (BRP new owner survey) in there somewhere. (Less than an hour) The instructions were good with the exception of the pictures. They could be a little clearer. (Quality wise) The fit was good after latch adjustment on both seats as stated in the instructions. Difficulty Factor: With instructions in hand, you could easily istruct a 10 year old to do it with good results.
To me there is a huge difference between the stock seat and the Corbin as far as comfort goes. You definately sit "in" the seat not "on" the seat. My wife said the same thing about the rear seat. She did say that the backrest could be about an inch higher. (for her) But she did say it was more comfortable than the BRP backrest which she got to try on another Spyder. She said the BRP one felt like it was pushing her forward.
I rode it to and from work today (about 50 miles round trip) and noticed that the twisting pressure that I felt in my left knee (old age maybe) with the stock seat on had been relieved with the Corbin seat installed. It also provided better support during acceleration which allowed me to relax a little more.
Looks sweet. Will get some pics tomorrow and post.:2thumbs:
