• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear wheel

We went for a ride last weekend and had a rubbing sound come up. First I thought it was a break rubbing but it got worse the longer we rode. Jacked up the backend and spun the wheel and it makes a grinding noise. Does the rear wheel have bearings or is it a different style hub on a spyder RT 2011. Any suggestions on this

REAR BEARINGS

Some folks change them 10,000 miles or less :yikes:..... But I believe they are a lot stronger than people believe they are ..... The year of your Spyder is meaningless ..... the mileage on that set of bearings is what matters ... The grinding sound is not GOOD .... Pull the rear wheel and take a look ....... the good news is the rear bearings are about 1/3 what the front ones are ................Mike

Depends....

There are several factors at play. My bearings are good with 38,000 miles but I run the belt tension on the low side. This way double or single no major stress on those bearings and more importantly the output shaft bearing.
