• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear Trunk Box Lock

I recently purchased a 2025 Can-Am Spyder RT Sea-to-Sky and have encountered an issue with the rear trunk box not locking properly. When I close the trunk and turn the key, the locking mechanism seems to engage, but the lid can still be pushed open without resistance. It appears the latch isn't securing the trunk as intended.

I brought this to the dealer’s attention, and they adjusted the lock to its maximum position. Unfortunately, the issue persists—the trunk still opens easily despite appearing to be locked.

I rely on this vehicle for extended trips and would greatly appreciate a functional lock so I don’t have to carry all my belongings with me at every stop. Any guidance or resolution you can provide would be appreciated.

On my 2024 Spyder RT S2S I have to push down pretty hard for the top case to fully latch. If I don't, then I can push up on it to open it.

Adjusting the mechanism to its max position is probably not the correct position. The Latching mechanism is easily adjusted on the receiver side remove the two push pins on either side to expose the adjustments. If after you adjust it it still will not latch correctly then place a couple of washers, I actually used electrical ring terminals, under the posts to raise them a little. Push gently but firmly to close, don't slam the lid. I also apply a dab of white lithium grease on all my latching mechanisms periodically in order to ensure smooth operation. Don't use too much just a little will do.

Do you mean that you can open the lid without pressing the button? Or do you mean that you can press the button in even though it is locked?

I can press the clocking button when locked and it moves just enough to open it yet even though it is technically locked

After removing the back cover and exposing those pins I believe you can have both pins loosened, then when the lid is closed, you can push each pin in towards the latch and then tighten the pins. Then test pushing on the locked handle making sure it won't open. I'm sure I watched a you tube video showing this on a white 24 S2S.
