There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Rear tire and bearings replacement

I am going to try and do some of the 12,000 mile check-up myself.
Since I have 14,000 miles on my back tire and it needs replacement, I thought since the 12,000 mile service states that Bearings,O-rings and wear sleeves of rear axle need replacement, this all could be done at the same time every 14-15,000.
The parts list provided by service may be alittle short, can anyone fill in what I may be possibly be missing?

O-ring $ 1.99 # 293300124 (1)
Seal 5.99 293320094 (1)
Damper 14.99 705500736 (1)

it mentiones Wear Sleeves need to be replaced, but have no info.
Is there anything else I am missing to do the job?

Thanks you in advance

I have mine all apart for paint right now and I don't see anything that looks like it needs replacing after 25K+:dontknow:

Interesting...how does one really know unless they are a mecahnic and takes it apart like you.
Do you see any parts like bearings or wear sleeves they speak of?
Did you ever do the valves?
Thanks as always Lamonster

The bearings felt fine. If they are going bad they would feel ruff when you turn them. The seals look fine too. I'll take some pictures of that if I think about it.

I'll be checking my valves this week too if we have the time. If not I'm not too concerned about it. I'm showing no signs that the valves need adjustment. Hard starting would be your first clue that the valves are too tight.

The maintenance schedule doesn't say to replace bearings, only inspect, and no mention of the damper. Not sure what those axle wear sleeves are....can't find them in the parts list.:read::dontknow:

The service dept gave me the parts list with a damper on it.

On the bottom it states
Items being replaced: Oil, and filter:air filter; clutch fluid, engine coolant, "Y" gasket exhaust pipe front gasket: spark plugs: bearings,O-rings and wear sleeves of rear axle:brake fluid

written like this on the bottom of my service to be performed sheet

Must be because I live in an area with primarily straight roads. I have over 11,000 miles and the rear tire is still looking good.
