• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

rear side bag removal

Well I hope I get my Spyder soon. I'm flying to Florida later this month to do the deal.
I was wondering if anyone has ever removed the rear side bags? I trying to figure what I have to do to get it to fit in my garage. It is a 2014 RT Limited. Thanks, Mike

The question comes more to how long will you be gone? Taking bags off will be inbepth process & not something you will wanna try to remember what goes where months later when putting back togeather. No room in garage you might be better off with a storage unit or long term parking:dontknow:. Not the best solution but alternatives:thumbup:

If it was easy to remove and install rear side bags I could just drive it into the garage , otherwise I need to make some adjustments here and there. Thanks, Mike

So why do the side bags/saddle-bags/panniers make it 'not fit'? Surely if you can drive it in without the bags, you could drive it in or even reverse it in with the bags?? After all, the widest bit of the RT's is the front wheel track, not the width of (or at) the panniers?!

I have a 1650mm deep space in the shed (4m wide) to fit my RT into, & if I ride it in I hafta step over a front wheel to get onto/off the saddle, so I just reverse it in & step past the panniers.

You'd have to strip all of the bodywork off of both sides of the bike...
This is NOT something for the faint of heart! nojoke

If the question is do the bags come off like the F3 bags the answer is no. The rear unit is one piece.
