• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear shock

I have a 2015 F3S and only clocked up 6000 klm. Have fond the rear shock is useless and now am fitting a Stage 4 yusi ,has anybody had the same problem and what is the advice on the fix.

When you say useless, do you mean the damping functionality is gone?
The spring and shock are too soft resulting in the rear tyre bottiming out under the seat occurring when 2up,also the rear end does not stay firm on the road when 1up and riding aggressive through tight twisting corners

Don't know. ..!!

But seems to have been a problem on the 15's remedied on the 16's. What I don't know is if they are helping out with this issue. :dontknow:

you can get the 2016 "occassional 2-up" shock for around $200 (depends on you and your dealership etc). There's a part number in a different thread. I've been living with the icky 2015 shock for a year now and couldn't bring myself to spend the $$$$ on the upgraded shock, and got too lazy to call Elka or do anything else, but when I was in getting my chassis bracket installed on Saturday I ordered the new rear shock.

New Shock for my F3

I got the new shock from BRP installed this week on my F3, the ride is much much better. It's smoother and the ride is much nicer.... A definite improvement. :doorag::spyder2:

Just purchased an Elka rear shock

It's been cold in Ohio & now I'm getting ready to replace the stock rear shock on the f3's. Doesn't look too complicated but any advice on best procedure would be appreciated.
Thank you kindly,
Darrell
