• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear Fender

It is NOT a difficult task; but it is MUCH easier if you have a shop manual...
You can find them on EBay...
Good Luck; please let us know how this task goes!

Agree..!!

with the shop manual it is fairly easy. Without it and taking your time it is a bit more time consuming as you will find what you need to do as you go...either way good luck...

Rear fender

Easy job, no secrets:
Open rear trunk and both saddlebags. Remove 4 #30 torx on the panel that the trunk lid covers. Follow that panel left, see 2 screws inside open left saddlebag. Remove those, and the 2 on the right. Remove this panel. Now release the clips on the gas struts to swing them down, and out of the way. Remove the 2 bolts behind the struts, both sides. On the wheel side there is one more screw on each side. Below the latches are 3 screws. Remove them, the fender swings down. Unplug the tag light. Now remove those last 2. Done!
if you need help, call. Number below. Cheers!

17 screws/bolts .. what fun.
We recently took off numerous panels (ST) to remove airbox - the tip someone posted here re ziplock bags for each set of screws, put with each panel, really helped!
Have fun with it

The only thing really easy with an RT is riding it! :roflblack::roflblack:

All else is somewhere between mildly difficult to #$@&^% hard! :banghead: From what CaptJAM says I would put this near the mildly difficult end of the spectrum!
