• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear Fender is Broke

Well 26,000 miles and now the rear fender brackets are broke. Called the dealer and he wants me to bring it in (140 miles) and then a tech will inspect it...then the dealer will call Western Services who will then set up a claim. They said that then Western will send an inspector to inspect the vehicle. So what am I supposed to do in the meantime? I suggested that I send him pictures so that they can start the claim process, submit the claim and then have the inspector come to where I am to inspect the vehicle. Then the parts get ordered and when they come in I can bring the spyder in and have them installed.

What is involved in replacing the brackets? Does the tire have to be removed. Since I am not mechanically inclined it was a major event just to get the fender off.

Others have posted about this same problem. I am guessing it is a warranty issue. Unfortunately, you have to play the game with everyone involved. It can be a pain sometimes.
