• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear end pop

I have noticed a pop in the rear end on my 09 RS.. This occures only on take off an it pops 1 time.. I have checked the rear bake an all is ok.. I have even came to a complete stop without use the brakes to see if it still pops an it does.. I took it to the dealer this morning an they got it to do it alot.. They was dumb founded by it.. They took it back an check the belt tension an it was ok.. They called Can Am tech support an they told them to tear the rear end apart.. So they did.. Tech told me the cush drive looked ok an the only thing he could see was there was a couple bolts that wasnt tight enough inside the hub.. They retightened an locktite the bolts an the bike still does it.. He called Can Am back an they are sending everything new for the rear end (wheel, sproket, bearings and axel..

Tech told me to go ahead an ride it that it was safe an when all the parts came in they would give me a call to bring it back in... Anyone else ever have any issues like this?? If so what was the outcome?? Do you think it is safe to ride?? Thanks

Also look for a missing tooth on the belt, damaged sprocket, or for a bad drive sprocket/drive shaft. There are possibilities related to the clutch, too. Sometimes the results of problems elsewhere in the driveline, are heard or felt seeming to come from the rear wheel. BRP will help your dealer get to the root of it. Sounds like your dealer is committed to finding the cause and curing it.

:dontknow:
I hope its not the same.
My 08 was making a similar noise, I thought it was coming from the rear bearings, It ended up that the front sprocket and the shaft wore out,
Its in the shop over two weeks now, And I'm in no hurry to get it back,
$$$$:( I'll just ride my two wheeler, I'm flexible.
