• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

rear cowel straps

I just bought a rear seat cowel in the winter and only have about 300k with it on this spring. Those ghetto rubber bands BRP uses's to hold the cowel on is pathetic. Is there a fix or something else I can use to hold the cowel on, the two rear rubber bands all ready snapped and I want to avoid buying them through BRP cause they will just snap.

I searched the forum and didn't have and luck.
Thanks

there is a way someone redid the whole thing using Velcro. i am not sure where the thread is that tells you how to do it but it is on here somewhere. sorry i am not that much help.

we had the same problem with the cowl straps for the 2009. 3 out of 4 broke within a couple of month's use. At that time--I could not get replacements because I was told they were unavailable. We put a comfort seat on--the cowl dont work with that--so I have a red cowl with 1 bungee strap that is probably also rotten my now.

Anyone interested in a red cowl--with no bungees--I will sell it for 1/2 the going rate per the BRP catalog. Shipping via UPS store--ground rate to your location. Actual shipping cost will be charged.

Send me a PM if your interested.

:roflblack:Ghetto rubber bands... :roflblack: That's priceless! The velcro straps are a great solution. I have not had to change the velcro since I installed them, and they are still holding tight.
