• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Rear air Suspension - need input

20 PSI

My new RT-S came from the dealer with about 25 psi:yikes: in the air ride system. It wasn't enough!!! ( For two up riding) My wife mentioned it felt like the :spyder2: bottomed out. I ran it up to 55psi and our recent trip around Lake Tahoe was much better for her. Had the air ride system in the center of the 5 bars. Worked perfect.;)

Kaos
PS: This is the same stealership that delivered the :spyder2: to me with 12 psi in the front tires????

Related question

According to the manual, I should occasionally hear the air pump adjusting the suspension when the bike is stopped, particularly if the bike is stopped and I'm changing the ACS setting. I have never heard mine adjust in 5000 miles, and I do regularly try to adjust the setting. Further, I've never been able to discern a difference in the ride or handling after I make an adjustment.

Is mine not working or am I just not sensing it? How do I check?

Yes, my bike is under warranty but I just hate to go to the trouble to take it in unless I know there is a problem.

Thanks.

I'm going to assume that you are following the proper method as described in the manual while stopped. I've done it with mine in my garage and put it at the lowest setting. Try to get a measurement of the clearance from the ground at the lowest setting. I used the flat part of the frame that is a little in front of the shock. Then set it at the highest setting and re take your measurement. There should be an increase.
When I did it, I was trying to put a jack under the frame and couldn't slide it underneath and raised it up enough this way to slide it under, so I didn't actually measure but could see that it was raising up.
Also have you checked to make sure the control arm is attached that has been shown by others. Occasionally they have been missed being attached when put together by the dealer.

Thanks for the advice. I tested this as you suggested - placed an upright ruler behind my mud flap and I was able to see the bike raise and lower.

I guess my butt is too numb to feel the difference in the ride, but at least I know the system is working.

Pull up to a light surface 9 ie: a garage door about 10-15 ' and adjust the ACS, you should see the headlights move up and down with the adjustment ! Hope this helps !
