• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Ram mount for I phone 5.

Has anyone done a Ram handle bar mount for iPhone 5s in the Ram weatherproof case on 2012 Spyder RTS? If you have could you post the part numbers for all the different parts you used. If anyone out there didn't use Ram components I would like to hear about it too. The deal breaker for me is it has to be a handle bar mount. Pictures would be an asset. Looking forward to seeing responses. Thanks in advance for replies.

The RT & ST handlebar switch assemblies are the same so this might help you figure out what you want.

The Otter Box case that RAM is using has two problems. One, it has a glare that can bug you and two, the phone can rattle inside if you don't use padding of some kind. I have a LifeProof case I can put my iPhone in, or in a pinch I can use a zip lock bag.

Here is my mounted phone

I have

Have used my Iphones (started with 4 now up to 5) in a handlebar ram mount BUT I use the Lifeproof case...been in some pretty harsh :yikes: weather conditions and no complaints..

I use the X mount (like the picture above) on my 2012 RS. Works perfect. Holds the phone really secure and if you change phones or want to hold something else (like a GPS) the "X" adjust to fit. Originally I had an iphone 4S in a lifeproof case (weather proof). Never had an issue other than I felt the case was too bulky for everyday use and its not something you can just take on and off the phone at will. It's also really expensive at $100. I have an iphone 5S now. It's in a tough armor case (not weather proof) which is a great case for everyday use for only $25. When I use the new phone one the spyder I put an electronics bag around the case and phone before I put it in the X mount. The electronics bag is basically a ziplock back perfectly sized for the phone. It fits nice and tight, you can still use the touch screen with the bag on, sound works fine, weather tight and you can buy a package of 20 for $5.
