• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ram Mount Customer Service

Often times we tend to post our negative experiences with a company and/or its product(s). Well, I have the distinct pleasure of reporting excellent customer service when inquiring with Ram Mount about replacing the rubber piece at the end of my X-Grip mount. After Calling Ram customer service and reportin the problem, I was told to send an e-mail to [email protected], making sure to send a pic of the issue. I sent the e-mail (picture included) yesterday at 2:19...at 2:23 (yup...4 minutes later) I received an e-mail asking me to include my card# and expiration date (but not the 3 digit pin from the back) for the shipping cost (which is a couple of bucks). The representative also said he's sending out 6 units in case I lose one in the future.

Surely, the customer service rep's name was "Mercury" and he wore shoes with little wings on them...

We’ll just need a card number/expiration date for the $2 ship charge (or $7 for international warranties) according to the terms of the warranty:

http://www.rammount.com/SupportCenter/WarrantyInformation/tabid/150/Default.aspx

I’ll send a bag of six of those so you have some backups.

If you decide to phone it in, please leave the info in my voicemail as I am on the phone most of the day and unable to receive a call.

Best Regards,

Brian Pinsker

Subject: Lost rubber piece

Hello, I purchased a Ram Mount a few months ago and one of the rubber stoppers came off while on a motorcycle ride to Eureka, Ca.
I contacted the Ram Mount customer support and they gave me this e mail address to contact with the instructions to include a picture of the mount when I sent my e mail. Please let me know if there is anything else I need to do.

Thanks;
Tony
