• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

So I disconnected my Temp and Gas gages a month ago and like the digital display much better. So I wanted make use of the dead space created by this change. So a few Ram mount items ordered from Amazon and here is the result.

Very happy with this mod and was easy to do, took me about 30 minutes :)

Zoltari, may I ask, what you used to blank off the holes left by removing the gages and are they rugged enough to take the weight of a large water bottle over the bumps?

BuddyBear,

That was a hurdle I was very worried about overcoming, I knew there was not enough room to put a round mount base in that hole, so I opted to go with a smaller base mount and chose to fill in the hole with something black ;) Anyway, I used this mount http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002KO5XVU and mounted just above the hole where the gage was. I used black foam from a cold drink huggie to fill in the hole. With the panel removed, I cut a round piece of the foam material out and used some adhesive to hold it on the back side of the panel until I could put the panel back in place. Just bolting it down snugged everything up. Really came much better than I had hoped.

Hope this helps!

Zoltari
