• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Radio Volume

I have a 2018 RT standard. When I play XM radio via the speakers via BT I cannot get max volume except when going over 45 mph with the auto volume on high. I would like to get max volume going slow and cannot figure it out how to do this. The auto volume has low, med. and high. I would think if I could shut this off I would be able to control the volume to max even at a complete stop. Pls. advise and pre thx.

I seldom ride below 65 so I don't have that problem. Please forgive me for being my usual smarty pants self :doorag:

I have a 2018 RT LTD. My XM Radio is paired with the audio system via the AUX connection. When I first installed it, the volume was quite weak. Two things I did that really increased the volume were: #1 setting the audio output level on the XM unit to high.
#2 Setting the auto volume level on the Spyder to high, which you say you have already done. I am able to ride at 70+ mph with the volume control at about 2/3 and it sounds great. When set properly, the BRP 6 speaker system really rocks.

I am streaming xm via my phone connected to the RT via BT. I have volume all the way up on the phone. When I go fast the system sounds great Andy load just can’t get full volume at slow speeds.

With my unit (I think it is called an Onyx) hardwired via AUX, the volume is very linier from stopped to 75 - 80 mph. Maybe you could try hardwiring your phone with a patch cord.

Not sure how you're streaming XM using BT as the BRP app doesn't have XM. So you're doing something the system is not set up to do. Which also means none of us have it so we don't know what's going on.

Any and all volume is controlled by the volume control in the main dash. Could be when you see the volume turn yellow is when you can control it? Does the XM app have volume control?

Turn on your Spyder ignition key. Do not connect your phone to the Spyders usb cable. When the BT connection has been made between the phone and Spyder. Start your music app. Increase the volume to full using the phones volume control. If you get a warning about damaging your hearing. Choose whatever answer allows you to turn up the volume.
