• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Radio on a roadster?

I know members on this site have installed speakers ,amps and radios on there RSs and on Ebay they sell a couple differant set-ups .

Go to cyclesounds.com and they are offering on a pre order basis the "Rock box".....I guess you would call it a head unit.

they also have various handlebar speakers ranging from 2" to 3" 200 watts with a small amp. I just noticed that you can get the 3" speakers in black, which is a plus for the spyder.

I saw someone mount these speakers in front of the side mirrors on the spyder and another above the gauge cluster to where they were protected by the windshield (depending on brand).

I will definitely be getting the set up for my spyder.....as soon as I can move it higher on the priority list...

check out the post on my spyder mods/my sound system post # 1 dated 3-29-2010. Have this on my ride and it is great. Able to hear at hiway speeds and even in city traffic. Took a long time to get the info gathered, but after that the install went fairly well and it really works good. Hope it helps....:2thumbs:

Well it looks as though the JL system is the way to go "minus the sub" but wow that thing is pricey!!

I just got done doing my "cheap" stereo mod,
2- 4" polk audio speakers
2- 5 1/4" polk audio apeakers
small 240w amp and direct to amp ipod connection.

Total cost was around $250 and its pretty loud, best thing about this setup, everything is hidden and nothing was lost. I will post pics soon.
