Radio Locking Up

Had a problem with the radio tonight on my 2014 RT-S. I was listening to an iPod with the Aux cable through the speakers, and it kept losing sound, then coming on and going off, then locked out completely. I unplugged the cable in the rear trunk, and plugged it back in, and it worked for a few minutes before it acted up again.

I began to think it was just the auxiliary cable or the iPod, until the radio started doing the same thing. It actually got so bad I couldn't even change stations. It just locked up completely.

Any of you guys had that problem?

Does it sound like maybe a module has gone bad?

I'm sure it will be covered under warranty.

There was another post on here just a day or 2 ago that was having a similar problem. It turned out the plug was coming loose from his ipod. It was fixed by zip tying the cable to the device.

I just purchased a 2016 RT Ltd, the auxiliary locked out all my audio, took it in for warrenty work.
They replaced the entire wiring harness, about 350-400. It didn't work, now BMP has authorized a new radio for my RT-L. NOW I HAVE TO WAIT TILL THE NEW ONE COMES IN, I sure hope this is the fix. Good luck.......cheers.

My 2014 RTS' s radio sucks! I get one station period. If I go out of range oh well, sucks to be me. All I get is static on any other station. Has been this way since day one.
