• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

R I P PETE SEEGER

not many top hits

as a performer, but wrote a lot of great hits and music for other people.

Had we let politics and art(music)collide. None of us would have had the distraction from reality the tunes of that era provided. Of the things that instantly take me back. Music from those days is one of the top three.

RIP

It is the end of the folk era, in many ways. Pete was prolific and profound. His original work was good, his traditional work was even better in some ways. His five CD set of traditional ballads is the most played thing I own. I have followed him closely since he brought the Weavers off the blacklist back on the old Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. I didn't always agree with his politics, but I respected his passion and his dedication toward his causes. The sky will be a little dimmer...one of its brightest stars has burned out. RIP Pete.
