• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Questions on 2011's

Will the 2011's have all upgrades that have been recalls for 2010's and has there been any other changes for the better for the 2011's. Thanks

There were two recalls for the RT. The first was for vehicles produced between 10/13/2009 - 10/30/2009. That covered a loose key switch connector and ignition switch wiring that was too tight. It was corrected on the assembly line in 2009. The second recall was the recently announced recall for the steering, calling for replacement of all DPS units for vehicles produced up until 9/19/2010. This has also been corrected on the assembly line for the newer Spyders.

There are also a number of Service Bulletins and Campaigns of various types, addressing possible problems on some units. The dealers take care of these on existing Spyders. Whenever such a bulletin is issued, it generally means the manufacturer is aware, and has made changes to prevent the problem from happening further. No manufacturer in his right mind would continue to produce vehicles with a known defect, even if it did not affect safety.

Announced improvements for the RT for 2011 include a "recalibrated" front suspension to reduce body roll; a smaller windshield and wind deflectors, to allow more ventilation and improve mileage; and a redesigned passenger grip heater switch. There have been other production line changes during the 2010 model run, such as a redesigned front trunk latch.

Whatever the changes, your 2011 should be the most current design BRP has to offer.

They're always working on the bikes to improve "points of interest..." There's no doubt that the 2011s will be the best ones yet! (Until 2012...)

Thanks Gentlemen for your input. I will continue to hold my breath and count my pennys till I can make it happen. Thanks for your patience with these annoying questions.
