• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Question for Leo Vince exhaust owners

I am still deciding on whether I should get an after-market exhaust, as I didn't want to mess with the fuel mapping by installing the O2 sensor or the 2Bro juicebox. But I really don't like the sound and look of the stock one. Then I came across the Leo Vince exhaust and the manufacturer proclaimed that it is "Machine-specific tuned to work with stock fuel settings", according to their website:

Can any Leo Vince owner verify if they need to have either the O2 sensor or the juicebox? Is it a must-have in order not to have any misfire, or is it installed just for performance improvement (ie. more horsepower)?

Not to knock their claims but I have found that you can only get 100% perfect matchup with an aftermarket exhaust if you have the specific bike to match with. As you can see from folks here on the forum every bike and motor is a little different in performance from year to year and even from the first part of the year to the next. It would be really hard for a manufacturer to match every Spyder's characteristics. For example my son and I have '09 RS only different in color. Both were purchased at the same time from the same dealer and set up by the same technician who is pretty good. My son went with the Two Brothers Exhaust and I went with the Hindle. The Hindle is a pretty good exhaust but not as extreme as the Two Brothers which is much louder and probably more free flowing. My Hindle will backfire on occasion but sounds and runs fine. The Two Brothers which folks have had to add a juice box in some situations works just fine for him with no juice box or backfiring at all. Turns out my '09 was made early in the year and his later with an update no doubt. The exhaust you are looking at is a fine exhaust as are most of the others just don't expect it to be an easy thing. If it turns out to be a great match you are a winner if not get the juice box and you will still be a winner!:2thumbs:
 
Leo Vince Exhaust

I have a LV pipe on mine - never had any problems after 22k miles
I do have the O2 Eliminator installed in mine, though I never did notice a difference when it wasnt in.
May want to change out the exhaust gaskets at connections - the Honda Goldwing versions since pipe will be coming off anyway if you replace it.

BTW, is the O2 eliminator an easy install by itself? Apparently its a "plug and play"...:dontknow:
I would rather just install the O2 if I don't have to install the juicebox. ;)
