There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Question about the new 2014 RT

I was planning to wait and see what problems developed on the 2014's and probably buy a 2015 model.... BUT .... local dealer has a cognac 2014 RT limited and matching trailer coming in this week AND the wife gave me the green light to buy it. She also told me to keep my RSS. I know, something funny going on here..... (I suspect she is wanting to get her license and start riding).

So, I am giving this some serious thought and was wondering if, even though it is really early, have any problems been reported thus far?

Yeah..!!

have heard getting them to go back home is a problem....:roflblack::roflblack: Wow lucky you..!!

I've got 300 miles on my 2014 Cognack RT LIMITED, had a 2013 RT that I really liked. The 2014 has incredible SMOOTH, QUIET power. I personally ecstatic that I bought the 2014. Good luck with your decision.

There have been about 5 reports so far--ranging from 3000 miles and less. No one has had any major gripes about the 2014. A couple reported an oil leak--but that was due to no locktite on a connection, and was easily fixed. Another two have reported harmonic vibes at 75 mph or so. Problem/solution unknown at this point. If all the other riders still not reporting, had problems, I think we would be hearing about them.

I would say the outlook is good.

about 350 miles on the demo this week, no problems so far, love ryding it:yes:We will take it in tomorrow for it's weekly BUDS check but it's a joy to ryde.

It's still probably too early to tell for sure...
Everybody seems happy...
...And your Wife is KEEPER; for sure!

I would say...

Go for it. The only 2 things holding me back is: 1. Winter weather, pretty bad here in NW Ohio, 2. Not yet having my 2012 Victory Cross Country paid-off yet. Other than that I'd be ready in a heartbeat.

I've been riding one for a couple weeks now and it has been awesome. I'm leaving tomorrow on a week long trip so I will be putting it to the test of back to back long days at highway speeds. I am confident that it will perform flawlessly.

This Spyder has 2,700 miles on it.

My 2014 has 5800 (ish) miles on it, and no problems. I have noticed a small amount of vibration at about 75 MPH, it is nothing compared to my 2012, and might be due to freeway surface conditions. Today riding I noticed the heat on my foot, but nothing major. Just enough to let me know I was riding a bike in 82 degree weather. I highly recommend the ultra comfort seat.

So based on your total miles, and your recommendation on the comfort seat, I'm guessing you put in a lot of miles in one day. How many miles a day are you comfortable for in the saddle before starting to needing to move around to temporarily alleviate discomfort?

I have no real basis for an informed opinion so you can throw this one out. But I have very good vibes about the 2014 RT. Early reviews by seasoned veterans have been very good. I think BRP used the delayed release time to extremely good results.

If I were thinking of an RT in my future, I'd have a very hard time waiting on a 2015... It might be nothing more than a 2014 with a different paint job! :ohyea:

Actually; there have been two major complaints...
It's hard to make it head for the driveway.
and...
the sound of the exhaust seems a bit, "dieselish"

:D

Well, the deal with my local dealer fell through so I called Len at Pitbull. What a great guy to work with. I should have started there in the first place. I'll be making a trip to MO next week to pick up my new rig! Thanks Len!

I am currently testing the bike, and average 550 miles a week. My normal ride is 44.8 miles to work (89.6 round trip), and my longest ride so far has been about 75 non-stop. I have yet to feel any discomfort on my seat. After about 30 I will move my legs a bit, but that is the same for my 2012. The difference for me between the 2012 seat and the 2014 seat is; on the 2012 the seat is so hard I feel like I am riding on the bike, but the 2014 is so soft I feel like I am part of the bike.
