• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Question about handle bar risers and mirrors

If I use the 4.5" handle bar risers, how would that effect the mirrors? Does it work well with the up and out mirror extensions? Or would the straight mirror extensions work better with this application? Or no extensions at all? Thanks for your advise!

I have the KewlMetal risers and mirror extensions and am very pleased with them.
The risers made all the difference so far as customizing the handlebar positioning for me..... soooo much more comfortable.
And the mirror extenders put the mirrors just where they need to be. :firstplace:

:agree: KM risers are :2thumbs:
I've got the ESI up and out extensions.
With the almost unlimited adjustability of the KM risers and my relatively small size, I really didn't have to put the extensions on, but they do increase my field of vision. One caution: if you have or contemplate the BRP Ultra Touring windshield, the up and out extensions won't work without trimming off the bottom "wings" of the windshield. There are a number of posts on how to make it all fit. Lots of options and some great products on the market. Check out the sponsors page.

Try the risers first before buying the mirror extensions. I have the KM risers on my RS, am 6ft. and found I don't need the extensions as the new position opened up the view for me.

Thanks everyone... I've already order the ESI risers, so I'll take your advice and install them first and then if I still feel I need to extend the mirrors, I'll go with the KW version ($50 cheaper!). Thanks again for the input!!!

I have the 4.5 risers and didn't get mirror extensions I'm 6'1 and I can still see really well. The risers made a huge difference for me probably my best mod yet!

Yeah, I'm thinking it will help with my tired old back...LOL.. I drive 45 minutes each way to work, and since I'm in the desert, everything is a long drive, so I could use as much help as I can...LOL
