• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

putting a CanAM in the motorcycle press

You may have noticed that there's a bit of reluctance on the part of the mainstream motorcycle magazines to give too much coverage of anything that's got more than two wheels, and when it happens there's always some sore head who dashes off a complaint to The Editor saying he didn't spend his hard-earned cash on a motorcycle subscription to have to look at pictures of 3-wheeled abominations. Yada ya da ya da....

Knowing that to be the unfortunate case, I smiled at the opportunity to participate in a product review (the new Cardo "Packtalk" bluetooth headset) with a group of my fellow StayinSafe instructors. I highly suspicioned that photos would soon grace the pages of Rider magazine, showing a smiling couple on a CanAM joining the fun to try out this latest technology. Sure enough, yesterday's mail brought the June issue to my box, and there on pages 110-111 is a copper (ahem "cognac") Spyder RT in all its radiant glory.....except if you look close you can see a bit of mud on the wheels. The route we took included a lot of Western Carolina backroads, including some very sloppy unpavement. At several points, I was glad the lady and I weren't slippin' and slidin' on two wheels, even though we did scrape the bumpskid a time or three.

All in all, a good time with some very skilled riders.

headset impression?

Congratulations on making the magazine.

What was your impression of the new headset?

The latest bluetooth offerings from several of the companies, Cardo included, are quite impressive.
Very Little wind noise picked up by the mic, high quality speakers, and (for those accustomed to wired headsets) delightful to use unhampered by hook-up cables and such.

My biggest complaint about the Cardo units was the instructions. Sheesh! These companies need to get some simple, plain-talking NON-Geek to help them write the how-to manuals. I was lost. Glad the main dude had a clue, or else we would have been reduced to hand signals.

That criticism aside, we were impressed with how well the units worked at full interstate speed. Half way through the session, my head cold went to full laryngitis mode and I was unable to do much more than croak. The other guys started ragging on me, saying the equipment was wasted on me and why did they even bother to invite me along. I retorted with insulting whispered threats, which at 70 mph they were all able to hear perfectly well. Not that they let off the snide remarks, but you know...........

Congratulations. ...

You all are now published....:roflblack: sounds like you had a great time and were successful even if you got a bit muddied up....:2thumbs:

There is a special section for trikes in the GWRRA's magazine Wing World. There is usually an ad for Spyder's as well.

Yep thats kool

Agree that 3 wheels are ignored way to much!

But have to admit I never noticed it till we went to 3
