• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My question is what cover is everybody using.

You will love it. Remember this word - FUN!

No cover, here, but am considering a travel cover. ...Don

Cover depends on what type you are looking for full cover storage , full cover travel, full cover towing, half cover overnight. Many manufactures depending on what you want.

The BRP 1/2 cover works great unless you have a rear rack if so then get the Ultraguard 1/2 cover.

For a full cover get the Ultraguard.

The Ultraguard cover is just as good as the BRP one but less expensive.

:welcome: :congrats:
I kind of like the BRP covers.
I've got both the full, and travel versions; they fit perfectly, and they seem to be holding up well to several years' of usage.

Congrats and some forum tips....

:congrats: on your first Spyder! Excellent! We had our first Spyder over a year ago and already traded up to the 2014 -- love the 2014 RT! We have both BRP covers, the full storage cover and the travel (1/2) cover. We really like the 1/2 cover for overnights or rainstorms -- keeps the seat, windshield, dash, etc. dry. We put netting in our compartments and the travel cover fits nicely in one of the saddle bag's cover area where it's indented and the netting holds it in place - quick and easy to get to. We only use the full cover for winter storage.

When I first joined this forum, I found a thread on rydin' tips....it was very helpful.....it is a little dated and needs more input on the 2014 1330 ACE Engine and transmission, but the overall info is great to read through:

Post some pics when you get your new Spyder!:yes::yes::yes:

Congrats

:welcome: Hope you have many miles of smiles. No cover used, but sure do enjoy riding this thing and I am sure you will too.

Did you get your cables fixed so you can get out and enjoy this weather??:yes::yes: Hope so

Cables are fixed -in- and :f_spider: is almost completely back together. Stopped due to an issue with the add on garage door opener (CribClicker). I am mounting the transmitter behind the right headlight and want to get it working before I install the light. The company (Biketronics) has a lifetime warranty and after I do a hard restart of the receiver if it still doesn't work I can send them both peices and they will test and fix/replace what needs to be done and send me a system already programmed to work together. Great customer service .

I will have it road ready in time for the rain and colder weather:banghead:

:congrats: on the new ryde. Black is a great color.

RE: Travel cover--I recommend the BRP full one because when you need it, you need it.
