There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I have a problem with the nmn 3" handlebar raisers. I have an 09 phantom spyder. And the stock handle bars comes with the billet anti vibration inserts. It appears they are to long for the bars that the risers come with. has anyone had this problem?? what can be done? :helpsmilie:

I read here where someone had this same problem and shortened the anti-vibe inserts.

Do a search and you may find his post which included pictures.

You could also sell them, if you don't want to or cannot cut them down.

Call Evan and ask his advice and what other endcaps that may be available.

If you are concerned about vibrations, there are some simple things you can do. I used BBs in my old bar and in the risers when I did my 4" NMN risers. PM me if you want more details on this.

Sounds like you have a problem with the inserts not the risers. Why didn't they make them to fit the risers? ;)

You could cut them off and glue them in the risers or the bottom stock bars.

The ESI/NMN risers are not made to take the optional BRP bar weight, and for the most part the added mass of the riser block makes them not needed as the riser mass acts like a vib damper already.

I have to say that after the 3" risers were put on, although I was in a thunderstorm the whole way home, I really didn't notice any vibration and I was gripping probably too tightly to begin with! I didn't realize the risers helped that much with vibration, but they really do seem to make a huge difference...more-so than the throttlemeister, for sure...

:agree: :firstplace: Never really paid attention to the vibration situation but after install of 3" NMN risers the ryde was so much better and the little virbration I had was totally gone. I am a happy ryder -- Love the risers.

That is worth checking - you may have enough original bar length after cutting them for the inserts to still fit. The cut takes off less than 7 & 1/2" off each side.

After cutting the handle bar down, if there is enough space, you would just have to clean up the burrs from the cut.

You know what...with the risers, you won't need any anti-vibe inserts...get a throttlemeister instead...then you get two birds with one stone...

The risers alone really help with vibration...the TM gives you a nice mechanical cruise control and a rest for your right hand, at times...

I agree Bonecrusher, but the anti-vibe inserts have nice ends and look great on the Phantom model. And, you have to plug the cut bars with something - so why not the inserts - if they fit.

Yes, the Throttlemeister throttle lock would be a nice, touch for the end of the grips.

Gotcha...the TM works well for me...I guess the inserts don't fit? If that's the case, perhaps get the TM as a good replacement...

FYI…Inserts don’t fit on bottom, where original bars where still to long.
I put them there anyway. The inserts stick out 3” and the "nice ends" still look great.:sour:
